The NW 22 Avenue Bridge is now open to vehicular traffic
The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) has reopened the NW 22nd Avenue Bridge to vehicular traffic after initial structural repairs were completed.
Additional repairs with limited one lane nighttime closures are expected to continue as the department works on the design and procurement process of new equipment for the bridge. Marine traffic may be impacted during nighttime closures.
On February 6, 2025, the bridge was closed to all vehicular traffic due to necessary repairs after a deficiency in a key structural component was discovered during a routine inspection. The bridge was initially placed under traffic restrictions on January 28, 2025.
DTPW appreciates the public’s patience and understanding as this important work is completed.
