This critical advancement enhances public safety by providing residents with another tool and an accessible way to reach emergency services when calling is not an option. Text-to-911 will be deployed countywide across all seven 911 centers: Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, which accounts for Unincorporated Miami-Dade County and 29 jurisdictions/municipalities, City of Miami, Hialeah, Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Aventura, and Pinecrest.
