Peguero Rivera [email protected] 305-471-1900 Two Dead in Apparent Murder Suicide The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, Homicide Bureau, is investigating a murder-suicide. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, Homicide Bureau, is investigating a murder-suicide.  On Friday, July 18, 2025, at approximately 10:23 a.m. the MDSO Midwest district deputies responded to a shooting in the area of NW 10th Lane & NW 127th Path. MDSO deputies arrived on the scene and observed an adult female lying on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s). Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and pronounced the female deceased on the scene. Moments later, the City of Sweetwater Police Department was dispatched to the area of SW 107th Avenue & SW 3rd Street in reference to a traffic crash. Upon the officer’s arrival, they located an adult male sitting in the driver seat of a black SUV with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. MDSO Homicide Bureau detectives were able to determine that the parties involved are a boyfriend and girlfriend; however, the circumstances as to why the shooting occurred are still under investigation.
