Miami-Dade Department of Transportation and Public Works to host 2025 APTAtech Conference August 3 - 6
The Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW), in partnership with the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), will host the 2025 APTAtech Conference at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel from August 3rd through the 6th. This premier national event brings together transit and technology leaders to explore cutting-edge advancements in fare collection, cybersecurity, mobility, and innovative technologies shaping the future of public transportation.
Attendees will explore topics like artificial intelligence, data governance, customer experience, and zero-emission vehicles. Designed for transit professionals, fare collection, cybersecurity, and technology experts, APTAtech promises to be a catalyst for innovation and progress in urban mobility.
The event will serve as a dynamic platform for insightful discussions and engaging sessions featuring lively panels, demonstrations, networking sessions, and conversations with public transportation industry leaders, technology founders, contractors, consultants, investors, and policymakers.
DTPW Director and CEO Stacy L. Miller, P.E. is the keynote speaker scheduled to kick off the day’s event on Monday, August 4th at 8 a.m. Miami-Dade County District 5 Commissioner and Chair of the Transportation, Mobility, and Planning Committee, Eileen Higgins, will be joining the conversation with Director Miller during the morning opening on August 4th.
Other key panelists scheduled to participate include:

The conference will explore how transit leaders are implementing emerging technologies to improve rider experience, sustainability, and achieve digital transformation for all. Also, it will serve as a platform for collaborative discussions highlighting Miami-Dade County's innovation related initiatives focused on enhancing our transportation system, service delivery, user experience, and technology.
