These awards are issued annually to local governments for implementing innovative programs to improve service, achieve cost savings, help develop a better workforce and improve accountability. These awards are issued annually to local governments for implementing innovative programs to improve service, achieve cost savings, help develop a better workforce and improve accountability. “I’m incredibly proud that Miami-Dade County has once again been nationally recognized for government excellence,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. “These 151 awards from NACo are a testament to the innovation, dedication, and hard work of our County employees. They show that our commitment to an even more efficient, effective, and accountable government is delivering real results.
