Commissioner Bastien to host a special street renaming ceremony honoring Rev. Dr. Antwane Lenoir, Sr.

Commissioner Marleine Bastien will host a street naming ceremony in honor of the late Rev. Dr. Antwane Lenoir Sr., whose extraordinary commitment to uplifting the community touched countless lives. The ceremony will be held Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 11 a.m. at 13310 NW 24th Avenue, Miami FL 33167.

On May 6, 2025, the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners approved legislation to co-designate a portion of NW 24th Avenue between NW 133rd Street and NW 135th Street, as “Rev. Dr. Antwane Lenoir, Sr. Avenue.”

Affectionately known as “Pastor A.D.,” Rev. Dr. Lenoir was a devoted husband, father and public servant. He led Westview Baptist Church with unwavering faith and served as the Chaplain for the North Miami Police Department. Widely respected by fellow pastors and faith leaders across Florida, he was praised for his compassion, warmth and deep dedication to community service.

Rev. Dr. Lenoir passed away on April 6, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife, Bree, and their four children. The street naming ceremony will serve as a heartfelt tribute to a man who built meaningful relationships, lived his faith boldly, and left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.
