The community is invited to nominate inspiring women leaders. The nomination deadline is Friday, December 12, 2025. Presented by the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department, in partnership with the Miami-Dade Commission for Women and the Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade, the “In the Company of Women” awards ceremony is a time-honored Miami-Dade County tradition. The program celebrates women who exemplify professional excellence, community responsibility, advancement of girls and women’s progress, visionary leadership, and commitment to inclusivity across the following categories: •    Outstanding Woman in Business and Economics •    Outstanding Woman in Arts, Culture, and Communications •    Outstanding Woman in Education, Health, and Innovation •    Outstanding Woman in Government and Law, Elected Official •    Outstanding Woman in Government and Law, Non-elected Official •    Outstanding Woman in Sports and Athletics •    Community Spirit Award •    Mayor’s Pioneer Award Nominations with supporting entry materials must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. on December 12, 2025. Nominations that fail to include the requested items or do not meet the application deadline will be automatically disqualified. Past recipients of an “In the Company of Women” award are not eligible.
