Miami-Dade County to break ground on the Residences at Palm Court
On Thursday, December 4, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Miami-Dade County District 2 Commissioner Marleine Bastien will break ground on The Residences at Palm Court, a new affordable, mixed-income housing development in North Dade led by Related Urban Development Group.
The Residences at Palm Court will include 316 units for elderly residents and families. All current elderly public housing residents living on this site will not be displaced and will be relocated to the new building at no cost to the residents.
Each apartment will feature full-size, energy-efficient stainless steel appliances, including a stove/range, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Units will also offer central A/C, impact windows, spacious closets, granite countertops, and luxury vinyl tile flooring throughout.
Community amenities will include a fitness center, walking path, dog park, multipurpose room, co-working space, computer room, bike storage, and washer and dryer access on every floor, with select units featuring in-unit washers and dryers.
An on-site health facility will also be available to serve residents of The Residences at Palm Court.
Miami-Dade County’s Department of Housing and Community Development contributed $3.5 million toward this development through funding from HUD’s HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME).
