On Sunday, December 28, 2025, just before 6:00 p.m., a Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO) deputy received an alert about a stolen vehicle in the area.    The deputy located the vehicle at NW 17th Avenue and NW 95th Street and conducted a traffic stop. As the Deputy approached the vehicle, an altercation ensued, and the Deputy discharged his service weapon, striking the vehicle. The vehicle fled the scene, and shortly after, it was located nearby.
