Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Deputy-Involved Shooting in South District - Update#2
MIAMI-DADE ( February 04, 2026 )–
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is investigating a shooting involving deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO).
On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at approximately 5:30 a.m., MDSO Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit was serving a warrant in the area of SW 155 Street and SW 102 Place, with the assistance of the Special Response Team (SRT).
SRT identified themselves and announced multiple times that they were serving a warrant at the residence. When no response was received from the occupants inside, deputies breached the front door. Two adults and one child were safely removed from the residence. An adult male armed with a firearm then confronted the Deputies from inside the residence. Deputies discharged their service weapons, striking the armed male. Another male was then located inside the residence and was taken into custody. Deputies rendered life-saving aid to the injured male until Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived and pronounced him deceased on scene.
No members of the community or any deputies were injured. The investigation continues.
