PortMiami and Ashdod Port hosted Innovation Day
Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, alongside Consul General of Israel in Miami Zuri Siso and CEO of Ashdod Port Company Nissan Levy, attended the PortMiami and Ashdod Port Innovation Day, which focused on smart ports, logistics and supply chain innovation. The event brought together startups, investors and industry leaders; and featured presentations, open discussions and networking opportunities centered on port innovation and collaboration.
“Technology is transforming how we modernize PortMiami and grow our cruise and cargo businesses. This collaboration with Ashdod Port reinforces our commitment to partnering with innovative organizations, so we can be future-ready and at the forefront of smart port technologies,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava.
Among the event highlights were live pitch sessions from top-tier startups – Airwayz, Argu.ai, Azimut, Conbo.ai, DriveU.auto, Salvador Technologies, and Treedis – where solutions were presented for real-world port challenges. A panel of experts discussed maritime cybersecurity, supply chain resilience and transitioning to smart ports. Attendees mingled with company founders, explored a digital twin of future facility operations and connected with global maritime leaders, venture capitalists and industry decision-makers.
“Our partnership with PortMiami demonstrates how innovation that has been tested and validated in a live national port can become a bridge to meaningful international collaboration. We are not only showcasing technologies, rather we are connecting ports, startups, and critical infrastructure to accelerate adoption, operational resilience, and shared growth around the world,” said Nissan Levy, CEO, Ashdod Port.
