Notice of Speed & Aggressive Driving Enforcement
Notice of Speed & Aggressive Driving Enforcement

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office will initiate this year’s Speed
& Aggressive Driving Enforcement countywide to continue reducing traffic
fatalities and serious injuries. Data sources Signal3Analytics indicate
traffic fatalities fell from 29 in 2024 to 23 in 2025 (–20.7%),
while eCitation data shows strong, sustained
enforcement with 35,859 citations
in 2024 and 34,351 citations in 2025, both higher than previous
years. Building on these results, the 2026 Speed & Aggressive Driving
Enforcement details will intensify data-driven deployments
during the highest-risk hours and corridors, elevate officer visibility, and expand
traffic safety outreach. Our mission is clear: slow speeds and calm
driving will save lives on Miami-Dade County roadways.
