Joseph R Peguero Rivera [email protected] 305-471-1900 MDSO Homicide Detectives Seeking Information On Saturday March 21, 2026, at approximately 10:01 p.m., the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) South district deputies responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the area of Homestead Avenue & W Guava Street. On Saturday March 21, 2026, at approximately 10:01 p.m., the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) South district deputies responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the area of Homestead Avenue & W Guava Street. The preliminary investigation revealed that the first arriving deputies located an adult male victim laying on the ground suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the upper extremities. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and transported the victim to JMH South in critical condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries. MDSO Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation. Detectives are seeking the community’s assistance by urging anyone with video footage from the day of the incident to click on the link below and upload the video. MIAMI-DADE ( March 26, 2026 )–
