“I Clean Because I Care” with Commissioner Bastien on June 22

Commissioner Bastien’s “I Clean Because I Care” initiative offers community-wide cleanups and educational workshops dedicated to bringing residents, businesses, and organizations together to beautify and strengthen neighborhoods throughout District 2.

The next event is scheduled for Monday, June 22, at 10:00 a.m., There are two locations scheduled for cleanup: 2750 NW 20th Street, Miami, FL 33142, and under the Metrorail on NW 79th Street from 28th Avenue to 37th Avenue, located within the NW 79th Street Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) area. Volunteers can choose to clean up either location. Commissioner Bastien has partnered with the Miami River Commission, NW 79th Street CRA, and Miami-Dade County Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) for this event.

This initiative, which launched in April 2026, is more than a volunteer cleanup opportunity — it is a call to action to show pride, unity, and commitment to the place we all call home. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up and make a visible and lasting difference in District 2.
