Commissioner Bermudez Announces Fourth Annual Back to School Bash for District 12 Students

Commissioner Juan Carlos "JC" Bermudez is inviting District 12 families to attend the Fourth Annual Back to School Bash, a series of three community events designed to help local students prepare for the upcoming school year with free backpacks and school supplies.

Held at locations throughout District 12, the annual initiative ensures families have convenient access to essential school supplies before the first day of class.

"Every child deserves the opportunity to begin the school year with the tools they need to succeed," said Commissioner Bermudez. "I look forward to once again partnering with our community to support District 12 students and help set them up for a successful academic year."

The Fourth Annual Back to School Bash schedule is as follows:

• Saturday, July 11
  10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  Hialeah Gardens Branch Library
• Saturday, July 18
  10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  North Trail Park
• Saturday, August 1
  10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  International Mall

Backpacks and school supplies will be distributed free of charge while supplies last. Distribution is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

District 12 families are encouraged to attend the event location that is most convenient for them and arrive early, as supplies are expected to go quickly.
