Update: Street Takeover Leaves Three Injured
The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO), Midwest District General Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a street takeover that resulted in leaving three injured.
According to investigators, Midwest District deputies responded to a street takeover at the intersection of NW 25 Street and NW 76 Avenue. Upon arrival MDSO deputies, along with City of Doral Police Department immediately began to render first aid. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported all three victims to the nearest hospital.
The suspect vehicle is described as a black pickup truck with front end damage. The driver fled the scene and remains at large. Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident and are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information regarding the suspect vehicle to come forward.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Midwest District General Investigations Unit or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.
The investigation continues.
Update #1:
The investigation revealed that a black sedan struck two adult female victims in the roadway. One victim remained laying in the roadway while the black sedan maneuvered around her and fled the scene. An adult male ran toward the female victim to render aid. As the male was attempting to assist the female victim, he was struck by an older model gold Ford Expedition with a dark gray lower body. The gold Ford Expedition ran over the female victim that was laying in the roadway and fled the scene. Neither of these drivers stopped to render aid to any of the three victims.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Midwest District General Investigations Unit at 305-471-2800, or you can remain anonymous by calling Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
