2026 FIFA Club World Cup Human Trafficking Initiative
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Organized Crimes Bureau, Human Trafficking Squad conducted multiple proactive operations in support of the 2026 FIFA Club World Cup Human Trafficking Initiative. These enforcement efforts focused on identifying and recovering victims of human trafficking, disrupting trafficking-related criminal activity, and reducing the demand for commercial sexual exploitation.
Operations targeted individuals involved in commercial sexual exploitation and related criminal offenses. Particular emphasis was placed on identifying and recovering juvenile victims while holding offenders accountable, including individuals seeking to purchase minors for sexual exploitation.
Operational Results (June 2 – July 17, 2026):
- Felony Arrests: 34
- Misdemeanor Arrests: 152
- Notice to Appear (PTA): 2
- Probation Violation Arrests: 1
- Warrant Arrests: 1
- Total Arrests: 190
As the lead agency, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Human Trafficking Squad coordinated operational planning, enforcement efforts, and collaborative partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies to maximize public safety during the FIFA Club World Cup. These results reflect the Squad’s continued commitment to victim identification and recovery, proactive enforcement, public awareness, and the disruption of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation networks.
