Peguero Rivera [email protected] 305-471-1900 MDSO Arrest Subject After Making a Bomb Threat The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO), Homeland Security Bureau, arrested a man in connection with a bomb threat made to a Salvation Army shelter. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO), Homeland Security Bureau, arrested a man in connection with a bomb threat made to a Salvation Army shelter.   According to investigators, on August 19, 2026, MDSO Northside District deputies responded to the Salvation Army, located at 1907 NW 38 Street, after an unknown male caller stated there was a bomb inside the building. The building was evacuated, and deputies conducted an extensive security sweep of the interior and exterior of the property. No explosive devices or suspicious items were located, and the threat was deemed non-credible.   Further investigation by Homeland Security Bureau detectives identified the caller as 63-year-old Juan Carlos Sibila.
