Homicide Investigation
MIAMI-DADE ( August 23, 2026 )–
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO), Homicide Bureau, is investigating a shooting that left one dead.
According to investigators, at approximately 5:24 p.m., MDSO Northside District deputies responded to the area of NW 75 Street and NW 22 Court, in reference to a shooting. Upon their arrival, they located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s). Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and pronounced the victim deceased on scene.
Further investigation revealed that the victim and subject were traveling on electric scooters when they crashed at the intersection and became involved in a dispute. During the dispute, the subject brandished a firearm and shot at the victim, ultimately striking him. The subject then got back on his electric scooter and fled the scene.
The investigation continues.
