  If you are actively witnessing an act of animal cruelty or abuse dial 911.

  If you would like to report concerns of animal abuse or cruelty, you can report it online or call us by dialing 311 or 305-468-5900. Individuals with a hearing or speech disability can contact us by calling Florida Relay at 711. Call Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Closed Sundays and holidays

  • When making the report it is important to provide as many details as possible including location, description of abuse, description of the animal and any photos.
• How do I report a dog that is tied up?

  Most people are not aware of the practice of tethering –restraining or tying—a dog to any object or structure for long periods of time and without supervision. Leaving them alone is considered animal cruelty and can cause physical and psychological harm, skin sores and can result in making the dog aggressive.

  If you are concerned about a dog that is always tied up and left alone:  

  • Call us by dialing 311 or 305-468-5900. Individuals with a hearing or speech disability can contact us by calling Florida Relay at 711. Call Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Closed Sundays and holidays.
  • If the dog is tied-up with no access to food or water and, or exposed to sun and rain, call non-emergency police at 305-476-5423 and provide details of the dog’s location
