Miami-Dade Animal Services (ASD) offers low cost rabies vaccines and low cost well-care vaccine packages for the pets of County residents. Well-care packages include vaccines to help protect dogs and cats from many common, serious and even fatal diseases. Dogs and cats must be four months old.
Services are provided on a walk-in basis. No appointments.

Business checks - The person presenting the check must have a valid driver's license which will be noted on the check. Checks cannot be blank and must have a business name, address and phone number
ATM check card with the Visa or MasterCard logo
NOTE: American Express Cards are not accepted
*Check Return Fees: An additional $25 fee is charged for returned checks whose face value does not exceed $50. If the face value of the returned check is greater, the fee is increased, as well, in accordance with Florida Statute 832.07.

Rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats are required by law.
The pet owner must be at least 18 years old
Dogs and cats must be four months old
The dog or cat must be registered in Miami-Dade County, though the owner does not have to be a Miami-Dade resident
In lieu of a late fee, pet owners have a 30-day grace period from the license and rabies vaccine expiration date to renew their pet's license and rabies vaccination. Failure to renew within the grace period will result in the issuance of a civil violation notice
Exemptions
Your dog or cat may be exempted from the rabies vaccine up to one year for health reasons
A written notice signed by a licensed veterinarian must be submitted to Animal Services within 30 days of the vaccine expiration date. If your dog has ongoing health issues, the rabies exemption written request must be submitted annually. (Please note: The dog license tag is still required regardless of the rabies vaccine exemption. Renewal must occur within 30 days of the license expiration date.)

Pets can't be vaccinated when pregnant, but can be vaccinated when nursing
Greyhounds kept, maintained or brought into Miami-Dade County for the purpose of racing at licensed greyhound tracks are exempt. So are dogs used as part of entertainment acts when properly controlled, or dogs that remain in the Miami-Dade for less than 30 days
To qualify for low income pricing for pet vaccines owner you must provide proof of public assistance under one or more of the following programs:
Food Stamps: Must provide current eligibility letter.
Medicaid: Must provide current eligibility letter.
Supplemental Security Income (SSI): Must provide current eligibility letter.
Jackson Memorial Hospital Clinic Cards: Must provide current eligibility letter.
Temporary Assistance for Needed Families (TANF): Must provide current eligibility letter.
NOTE: A legal guardian or parent will be eligible for low-income pricing assistance through their child benefit.
The legal guardian or parent's name must appear on the original document of the child's benefits letters.
Individual shots can be given from 6 to 8 weeks and a booster when the pet is 1 year
Rabies vaccinations are required for puppies when the puppy turns 4 months
The fee for individual vaccines including Rabies is $15 each
Pet owners can walk in to Doral clinic for vaccines
To protect people and pets, rabies vaccinations are required by law for all dogs, cats and ferrets over four months of age. A pet's first rabies vaccine provides protection for one year only.
You can't purchase or renew the mandatory dog license tag without proof of your pet's current rabies vaccination.
Customers of Animal Services' Wellness Clinic can request their pet's records via email, by calling 311, or in person at the Wellness Clinic located at the Pet Adoption and Protection Center, 3599 NW 79th Street, Doral, FL 33122. The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Please be aware that according to Florida Statute 474.2165 (4), medical records of privately owned pets cannot be provided or discussed with anyone other than the client (pet owner). Our customer service team will require a photo identification to confirm pet ownership.
