Disposal Fees

The following disposal rates are effective as of Oct. 1: 
  • Contract Disposal Rate per ton $76.12
  • Non-Contract Disposal Rate per ton $115.80
  • Waste Tires Fee per ton $140
  • Other Solid Waste Requiring Special Handling per load (added to disposal fee) $85.87
  • Transfer Fee per ton for waste delivered to the Regional Transfer Stations (added to disposal fee)
    • Contract Rate $16.26
    • Non-Contract Rate $17.30
  • Suitable material for final cover, per ton $0 minimum to $32 maximum
    • Based on need, as determined by the director. Prior approval is mandatory
  • Asbestos Disposal Rate per ton (South Dade Landfill only; Special Handling fee applies) $100
    • Prior to disposing of asbestos, customers must contact the South Dade Landfill office at 305-258-2830 to make an appointment with landfill superintendents
If the scale(s) are unavailable, the disposal fee will be based on the total cubic yard payload capacity of the vehicle converted to tons using the Schedules of Weights and Measures available at the Clerk of the Board.
