Recycling Art Poster Contest

This contest encourages students to express their creativity by illustrating the importance of recycling through a poster design. All entries must be submitted through the student’s teacher or school representative. Teachers will be responsible for collecting student submissions, ensuring they meet the contest guidelines, and forwarding them to DSWM for official review. Entries must be postmarked by December 12, 2025, to be eligible.

Winning students will receive prizes and be recognized at a meeting of the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners.

- Please print as many copies of this form as needed for your students on standard 8 ½ by 11-inch copy or office paper. You may print it in either color or black and white.
- All entries must be recorded on this form; duplicates of the form are acceptable.
- Students should print and complete this form (please print legibly) and complete their drawing or design, promoting recycling, on the opposite side (blank side) of this form. Illegible entries will not be accepted.
- Entries will be judged primarily on creativity and originality.
- All entries must be original and hand drawn/rendered. Computer graphics or designs will be disqualified.
- Students may use markers, pencils, paint, etc. to complete their designs.
Entries must be submitted using the official 2025-26 Recycling Art Poster Contest Entry Form, printed on 8.5 x 11-inch paper. Both color and black-and-white versions, as well as photocopies of the form, are acceptable. The entry form must be filled out legibly (please print) by the student on the front side, while the poster design should be drawn on the blank side of the same form. Illegible or incomplete forms will not be accepted.

Poster designs should focus on the theme of recycling. Students can incorporate words and/or images, but all designs must be hand-drawn or rendered; computer graphics or designs are not allowed.

Students may use materials such as markers, pencils, paint, etc., to complete their designs. Entries will be judged primarily on creativity and originality, and all entries must be original work.

The contest is open to middle and high school students.

Based on feedback from teachers: We will be accepting multiple entries per school. Please feel free to send all your students’ creations.
The contest will take place from October 27, 2025, to December 12, 2025. Winners will be announced in February 2026. Schools and teachers can establish their own deadlines; however, each school's winning entry must be mailed to the address provided below and postmarked no later than December 12, 2025.
