Apply for a Small Business Grant

The Small Business Grant Program offers funding opportunities for small owned and operated businesses to purchase equipment, supplies, advertising/marketing, inventory, building liability insurance, security systems and to make minor renovations.

All businesses must be located in the specified county commission district
Must be a for-profit business
Must not be part of a national chain
A physical address is required
Supporting documentation must be provided (W-9, Municipal Local Business Tax Certificate, any applicable licenses, etc.)
Home-based businesses can apply

Additional criteria may be required, based on commission district. Review the guidelines section of the application.

Commission Districts accepting applications:

District 11: Applications will be available for pick up at the District 11 office or online July 7-21. Completed applications must be hand-delivered in a sealed envelope at the District Office from Wednesday, July 22, through Friday, July 31, by 4 p.m.

Small Business owners in Miami-Dade County’s District 11 can now apply to receive up to $5,000 in grant funding from Commissioner Roberto J. Gonzalez’s Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program. Applications can be downloaded online or picked up at the District Office, 12781 SW 42 St., Unit # E-F, Miami, FL 33175, starting Tuesday, July 7, through Tuesday, July 21, 2026. Completed applications must be hand-delivered in a sealed envelope at the District Office from Wednesday, July 22, through Friday, July 31, by 4 p.m. No late applications will be accepted.
