Greater Miami & the BeachesGreater Miami & the Beaches is a unique collaboration among Miami-Dade County and the Cities of Miami and Miami Beach, created to respond to global trends major cities face: urbanization, globalization and climate change. In the spring of 2016, after a highly competitive process, Greater Miami and the Beaches was selected to join 100 Resilient Cities.
100 Resilient Cities, also referred to as 100RC, is an organization pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation. 100RC is dedicated to helping cities around the world become more resilient to the physical, social and economic challenges that are a growing part of the 21st century. 100 RC is providing expert consultant support to develop a Resilient Strategy that was released in 2019.
Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change CompactThe Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact is a regional collaborative formed in 2009 with Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties. Through the Compact, local governments work together to mitigate the causes and adapt to the consequences of climate change.
