Alina Garcia - Supervisor of Elections

Alina Garcia was elected as the first constitutionally elected Supervisor of Elections for Miami-Dade County in 2024. A former State Representative for District 115 in the Florida House from 2022 to 2024, Alina focused on advocating for Florida families, overseeing state budgets, and championing policies that benefit Florida families. With over 30 years of experience in public service and leadership, she has worked tirelessly to improve her community.

Raised in Miami by immigrant parents who escaped Cuba’s oppressive regime, Alina is a proud product of Miami-Dade Public Schools and Miami Dade College. The values of hard work, perseverance, and community service were instilled in her early on and have guided her throughout her career.

Alina is a proud mother of three, grandmother to eleven, and a woman of deep faith who is actively involved in her local parish. Her commitment to service is reflected not only in her professional life but also in her personal life, where she has been a guiding force for her family.

Alina’s strong sense of faith is a cornerstone of her values. She is especially proud of her brother, The Honorable Monsignor Willie Peña, who serves as the Pastor of Saint Bernardita in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Alina’s family has always been a source of strength, support, and inspiration throughout her career.

As Supervisor of Elections, Alina is focused on ensuring fairness, transparency, and integrity in every election. She brings extensive experience, leadership, and dedication to ensuring the electoral process works for every voter and strengthens the community she loves.
