Your Pathway to Homeownership

Applications for the program open Sept. 1, 2026, and close once 200 qualified applications are received. Interested residents can apply online. Applicants must complete a brief prescreening application and submit the required documentation to confirm eligibility. Once 200 eligible applications are received, all qualified applicants will be entered into a public lottery drawing to determine the order of selection for the three available homes.

Step 1: Review Your Eligibility

Prepare to live int he home as your primary residence, only one application is permitted per household, household income must be below 140 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI)

Step 2: Apply for the Program

If you meet the minumum prequalification criteria, you are ready to take the next step and apply for the Welcome H.O.M.E program

Step 3: Application Selected

If selected, the borrower should secure financing within the 60-90 days by contacting their lender. The applicant may be eligible for up to $150,000 in homebuyer assistance.

Step 4: Complete the Sales Process

Once all required steps are completed and all documents have been submitted and recorded, the transaction will be ready to move forward.

Step 5: Closing

During the closing process, Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust will coordinate with the buyer and closing agent to close.
