Proposed Budget Hearing Accommodations

The first FY 2024-25 Proposed Budget public hearing took place Sept. 5. The second and final hearing is scheduled for Sept. 19 at 5:01 p.m. in the Stephen P. Clark Center Commission Chambers. Watch the hearing via webcast or on Miami-Dade TV.

Special provisions are being made as follows:

Security
Mandatory screening is located at the entrance of the SPCC lobby. All public participants and County employees will be screened, and building entrances and exits will be restricted. There will be a security officer at each elevator bank to restrict non-County employees from going to the upper floors. Employees are reminded to always display their County ID badge in order to access the upper floors, which will be closed to the public. The stairwells will be locked at 9 p.m.

Overflow Space
Conference rooms 18-4 located on the 18th floor of the SPCC will be set up as an overflow area for County staff only. Monitors will be televising the budget hearing and the rooms will have wireless connection to the County network. A County ID badge is always required in order to access the upper floors.

Food Court
Bottega Grill Café located on the ground floor of the SPCC will remain open until 7 p.m.

Transit
Miami-Dade Transit will extend Metrorail and Metromover service one hour after the end of the budget hearing.

Metrorail parking facilities also will remain open at least one hour after the last trains depart from the Government Center Station. It is recommended that attendees proceed to the Government Center Station platform immediately following the hearing.

Transit riders who prefer to access services online can purchase or reload an EASY Card in the Transit Store, the Go-Miami Dade App, Token Transit App, or the Transit App. Riders can also use contactless payments to pay fares.
