Free tax help is available to households that make $54,000 or less. It's through the IRS program called Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA). In Miami-Dade County there are nearly 50 VITA sites. VITA can help you in the following ways:
- In-person and online tax preparation
- Assistance with current year and prior year tax return
- Year-round support with other tax-related matters
- Access to a wide range of community resources, including free financial coaching
