The Interim Guidance streamlines DERM’s Environmental Monitoring and Restoration Division’s review process for any land use change from a former bona fide agricultural land use to other non bona fide agricultural use, including residential. It provides the minimum contamination assessment requirements to ensure the safety of the construction workers and end users of the resulting development. The Interim Guidance will be finalized with input from stakeholders through public comments and a workshop. The deadline to provide comments has been extended to November 16, 2020.
