
As the nation observes Black History Month, take part in events planned throughout February that celebrate the past and present contributions of African Americans. There's something for everyone, whether your preference is art, music, lively discussions, or technology. This year’s theme, “African Americans and Labor,” highlights the significant contributions and experiences of Black people in the workforce, from historical slavery to contemporary leadership roles in business and beyond.

- Experience the vibrant convergence of Pan-African culture and community artistry at Heritage Fest at the Adrienne Arsht Center on Saturday, Feb. 8
- The 2nd annual Black History Month Food Truck and Vendor Fair at the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW 1st Street, Miami, FL 33128 on Friday, Feb. 21, from noon to 2:30 p.m.
- Enjoy an evening with Melton Mustafa during a four-day jazz festival Feb. 28-Mar. 2 at The Black Archives Historic Lyric Theater
- Miami Dade College invites you to a variety of events taking place across their campuses
- Experience and learn Black history and culture through interactive stories, songs and dances for all ages at the Miami-Dade Public Library System
- Explore Miami-Dade's rich Black History: These tours celebrate the rich history and enduring contributions of Black communities in Miami-Dade County. This year’s tours are scheduled for Feb. 8 and 22.
