Meet at the Bridge to commemorate arch creek archeology

Celebrate Florida Archeology Month with Miami-Dade County Parks and EcoAdventures at the 11th Annual Meet at the Bridge event on March 8 at Arch Creek Park & Preserve located at 1855 NE 135 Street, North Miami Beach, FL 33181. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of hands-on activities, including guided nature hikes that explore the park's unique ecosystems, arts and crafts workshops, a mock archaeological dig site and archery for both adults and children ages nine and older.

The free event will also feature food vendors and several special presentations, commencing with Corinne Mariposa, Director and Founder of Miami Seed Share. Mariposa will lead a plant propagation workshop where participants will learn how to propagate plants and will have the chance to take home up to 15 varieties of freely shared native, edible and medicinal plants.

In addition, historian Seth Bramson will present The Florida East Coast Railway: For More Than 125 Years, America’s Speedway to Sunshine, that will explore the historical significance of the railway and its lasting impact on Florida’s development and transportation system.
