The Management & Budget Office prepares and monitors the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office operating and capital budgets. The Management & Budget Office also provides agency budgetary and fiscal guidance to ensure compliance with County and agency policies and procedures. Our main functions include:

  • Annual preparation and submission of the MDSO Operating Budget and the MDSO Capital Budget
  • Supervision of E911, Grants, and Trust Funds, including the Law Enforcement Trust Fund (LETF) and Police Impact Fees
  • Coordination of Agency travel

The Management & Budget Office is also responsible for coordinating and monitoring all budget activities related to all Sheriff’s Office Funds, capital project development and monitoring, and budget activities of contracted agencies and municipalities.
