Miami-Dade TV Procedures
Production costs shall be determined prior to production and incurred by the requesting department or official. Miami-Dade TV in its discretion shall determine whether and in what manner to fulfill requests for service or coverage based on the following criteria:
- availability of resources
- timeliness of topic
- frequency of the type of event
- importance of the event to the community
- percentage of the community impacted by the information
- informational and educational value to residents
- relevance of the topic to Countywide informational outreach campaigns and the delivery of County services
- unexpectedness of event
- potential for the coverage to enhance Miami-Dade County's visibility and promote a positive County image
- likelihood that the story will receive coverage from other media
- amount of advance notice provided
- stories without a direct correlation to County government, yet affect our citizens, may be covered at the discretion of Miami-Dade TV
- Requesting Text Displays
- Information displayed on Miami-Dade TV's various text displays may be submitted by any department or office to Miami-Dade TV in accordance with schedule regulations and content selection criteria described above
Requesting Coverage
- Name of event
- What event is for
- When the event is taking place
- Where the event is taking place
- Which county officials will be in attendance
- Why this story is county-related
- Other purposes for coverage (i.e., multimedia on the web, electronic business cards, repurposing for TV advertising)
- Contact name and number
- Miami-Dade TV will review each request and, in its discretion, determine whether and in what manner to fulfill the request
Requesting Duplicates
- Name of Show or meeting requested
- Date of show or meeting requested
- Time and channel of news – if news service is requested
- Contact information of the person requesting it
- Acceptable forms of payment (Cash is not accepted):
- Visa or MasterCard
- Check or Money Order – both made payable to "Miami-Dade County Communications & Customer Experience Department"
