This Wednesday, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava will join Citizens’ Independent
Transportation Trust (CITT) officials and other community leaders to talk about the
latest transit initiatives and announce the CITT Ambassador of the Year.
<p>This Wednesday, February 5, 2025, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava
will join Citizens’ Independent Transportation Trust (CITT) officials and other
community leaders in a talk about the latest transit initiatives and the announcement
of the 2024 CITT Ambassador of the Year.<br /><br />This year, the CITT Ambassador
Program celebrates its second year of empowering transit riders by providing them
with a platform that allows them to give feedback on their transit experience. <br
/><br />As CITT Ambassadors, frequent transit riders fill out surveys that can be
accessed via an online app. The information captured is then compiled and shared with
the Miami-Dade County’s Department of Transportation and Public Works and municipalities
in an effort to enhance the transit experience. The program also helps the CITT ensure
that assets funded by the County’s half-cent Surtax remain in good condition.
<br /><br />The event is being organized by Miami’s Community Newspapers as
part of an ongoing series of community events that foster engagement and create meaningful
