Today, the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners approved a resolution sponsored by Commissioner Natalie Milian Orbis expressing support for United States diplomat Michael A. Hammer and his work in Cuba highlighting the plight of the Cuban people despite harassment and intimidation by the regime. “Miami-Dade County will not stay silent while the Cuban dictatorship tries to intimidate a U.S. diplomat for speaking with its own people. Ambassador Michael Hammer is working to shine a light on the truth about conditions on the island, and for that he deserves our admiration and respect. Díaz-Canel and his thugs would be wise to stay away from Ambassador Hammer. Today, the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners approved a resolution sponsored by Commissioner Natalie Milian Orbis expressing support for United States diplomat Michael A. Hammer and his work in Cuba highlighting the plight of the Cuban people despite harassment and intimidation by the regime.
