Mail Ballots for April 21 Coral Gables Special Election to be mailed from Elections Headquarters March 19
Media availability with Supervisor of Elections to follow
The Office of the Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections will mail the mail ballots for the April 21 Coral Gables Special Election - a mail ballot election - on Thursday, March 19, at 10:30 a.m., to all registered voters in Coral Gables. The mail ballots will be moved from the Elections Headquarters Warehouse onto a USPS truck at 10:30 a.m. and the working media is invited to see the process unfold. Following the loading of 37,332 ballots, Miami-Dade’s Supervisor of Elections, the Honorable Alina Garcia, will hold a media availability and answer questions related to this process and the upcoming Special Election in Coral Gables, which, again, will be a mail ballot election.
“Building the public’s trust through secure, fair, accurate, and accessible elections is my pledge,” said Supervisor Garcia. “This mail ballot special election is a completely secure, convenient, and cost-effective alternative requested by the City of Coral Gables. I want to encourage all registered Coral Gables voters to participate.”
If you are an eligible citizen residing in Coral Gables and are not yet a registered voter, the last day to register to vote for this mail ballot election is March 23. Voters may request a replacement ballot by completing a sworn statement at any time before 7 p.m. on Election Day, with an April 9 deadline for the replacement ballot to be mailed. After April 9, replacement ballots must be requested in person at our Doral Headquarters at 2700 NW 87 Avenue. Mail ballots must be received by April 21, at 7 p.m. Ballots can be securely dropped in the U.S. mail or delivered in-person to Elections Headquarters no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day.
