Commissioner Natalie Milian Orbis launches “Flags Across Miami-Dade” initiative

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Natalie Milian Orbis announced the launch of Flags Across Miami-Dade, a new initiative to mark 250 years of American heritage, courage, and unity.

The program encourages residents to proudly display the American flag at their homes as a visible sign of gratitude for the freedoms we enjoy and the sacrifices that made them possible.

“As we approach this historic milestone, Flags Across Miami-Dade is about bringing our community together around the values that built this country,” said Commissioner Milian Orbis. “This is a simple but meaningful way for families across District 6 to show pride in our nation and appreciation for those who have served to protect it.”

As part of the initiative, a limited number of complimentary American flag kits are available to District 6 residents while supplies last.

Commissioner Milian Orbis emphasized that the initiative is focused on strengthening community pride and encouraging participation across neighborhoods throughout Miami-Dade County.

“This is about showing who we are as a community,” she added. “We take pride in our country, we honor its history, and we pass those values on to the next generation.”
