The VBM ballots will be moved from the Supervisor of Elections Main Office Warehouse onto a USPS truck at 10:30 a.m. and the working media is invited to see the process unfold. Following the loading of <strong>approximately 168,000 ballots</strong>, Miami-Dade&rsquo;s Supervisor of Elections, the Honorable Alina Garcia, will hold a media availability and answer questions related to this process and the upcoming elections.</p> <p>&ldquo;Building the public&rsquo;s trust through secure, fair, accurate, and accessible elections is my pledge,&rdquo; <strong>said Supervisor Garcia.</strong> &ldquo;Voting by mail is one of three convenient ways our voters can cast their votes, along with early voting and voting on election day. I also want to encourage voter participation in these critically important elections.&rdquo;</p> <p>Mami-Dade County voters may choose to receive a vote-by-mail ballot for a specific election or for all elections in which they are eligible to vote through the next regularly scheduled general election. All vote-by-mail requests made before the 2024 general election expired on January 1, 2025. Under <strong>Florida law</strong>, VBM requests must be renewed after every regularly scheduled general election.</p> <p>The U.S. Post Office will not forward your vote-by-mail ballot to a different address. If you want your vote-by-mail ballot sent to an address that's different from the one on file with the Office of the Supervisor of Elections, you must complete a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.miamidade.gov/elections/library/forms/vote-by-mail-ballot-request.pdf">Statewide Vote-By-Mail Ballot Request Form</a>&nbsp;and it&nbsp;<strong><u>must</u></strong>&nbsp;include the signature of the voter unless the voter is an absent uniformed services voter or overseas voter, or if the request is made by a designee.</p> <p><strong>The last day to request&nbsp; a vote-by-mail ballot for the Aug. 18 Primary Election is Thursday, August 6, &nbsp;2026</strong>.           The Office of the Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections will mail vote-by-mail ballots (VBM) for the August 18 Primary Election on Thursday, July 9, to all voters who have requested them.
