Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins Announces Major Infrastructure Improvement Providing Traffic Relief: Completion of the 87th Avenue Bridge

After years of advocacy, community engagement, and collaboration with residents, Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the 87th Avenue Bridge Project. This long-awaited infrastructure investment fulfills a campaign commitment and delivers a vital new connection for the South Dade community.

“This bridge is the result of a promise made and a promise kept,” said Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins. “From the day I first ran for office, I committed to making this project a priority because I heard directly from residents who had waited far too long for this much-needed traffic relief. Residents demanded leadership, and together we never lost sight of the goal.
