The Miami-Dade County Office of the Supervisor of Elections will conduct the Logic and Accuracy (L&A) Test of voting equipment and auditing systems on Wednesday, July 29, at 10 a.m., at Elections Headquarters, that will be used in the upcoming Primary Election.
Logic and Accuracy testing is a standard and essential process conducted before every election to ensure that voting equipment and tabulation systems are functioning properly, accurately, and reliably.
During the testing process, elections personnel will conduct a thorough review of the voting systems used to record and tabulate ballots. Test ballots are cast using a predetermined set of results, allowing staff to verify that the equipment correctly captures and reports each vote. The results are then reviewed and matched against the expected outcomes to confirm accuracy and proper system performance.
Members of the public, media representatives, candidates, and political party representatives are invited to attend and observe the testing process.
“Transparency is critical to maintaining public confidence in our elections,” said Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections Alina Garcia. “Logic and Accuracy testing gives the public an opportunity to see firsthand the careful steps we take to ensure our equipment is working properly, our results are accurate, and the integrity of our elections remains our highest priority.”
