Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections Alina Garcia Partners with Farm Share and City of Doral for Community Food Distribution
Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections Alina Garcia, in partnership with Farm Share, City of Doral Mayor Christi Fraga and local community leaders, will host a free food distribution on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections Headquarters in Doral.
The distribution will continue while supplies last and is part of the Office of the Supervisor of Elections’ continued commitment to serving and giving back to the Miami-Dade County community.
The event also coincides with National Voter Registration Day, providing another opportunity for the Office to connect directly with residents, share important voter information and encourage eligible citizens to register to vote. Maintaining an active, accessible and community-centered elections office is an important part of building public trust and ensuring residents have the information and resources they need to participate in the democratic process.
The event brings together Farm Share, Mayor Fraga and community partners, including representatives from the Doral Police Department, City of Doral Parks and Recreation, and the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, to help provide food and essential items to local families.
“Serving our community goes beyond administering elections. It means being present, accessible and engaged with the people we serve,” said Supervisor of Elections Alina Garcia. “On National Voter Registration Day, we are especially proud to bring our community together with Farm Share, Mayor Fraga and our local partners. Whether we are helping a voter prepare for an election or helping a family put food on the table, our goal is to maintain an active, community-centered office that Miami-Dade residents know they can count on.”
