The removal of the aircraft marks significant progress in clearing the crash site and restoring the affected area. I want to thank the crews and personnel who have worked carefully throughout this process. As the Commissioner representing this area, I will continue to look out for the airport, its infrastructure, and the surrounding communities. Miami-Dade County Commissioner Natalie Milian Orbis issued the following statement regarding the latest recovery efforts following the September 6 aircraft incident at Miami International Airport:
