Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections reminds voters of temporary polling place changes ahead of November 3 General Election
12 locations have been temporarily moved to account for unavailable election day sites which have already been communicated directly to affected voters
As Miami-Dade County prepares for the November 3, 2026 General Election, Supervisor of Elections Alina Garcia is reminding some voters of temporary changes to several Election Day polling locations throughout the county.
These adjustments are necessary due to facility construction, scheduling conflicts, and other circumstances that have made certain polling locations unavailable for Election Day. The Supervisor of Elections Office works with many community and government partners across the county and does not own nor manage the properties that serve as polling locations. To ensure voters continue to have convenient access to the ballot box, the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections Office has identified alternative locations in the surrounding communities to accommodate affected voters.
"Preparation is at the heart of every successful election, and that includes anticipating challenges and finding solutions before voters arrive at the polls," said Supervisor of Elections Alina Garcia. "Accessibility is paramount to a healthy democracy, and our responsibility is to ensure that every eligible voter has a safe, convenient, and accessible place to cast their ballot. We have worked diligently to identify suitable alternative locations and want every affected voter to know exactly where to go on Election Day. Our goal is simple: no voter should face unnecessary obstacles when exercising their right to vote."

Voters assigned to these precincts should report to their new temporary polling locations on Tuesday, November 3, rather than their previously designated locations, where signage has been placed to advise them of the changes.
The Supervisor of Elections Office encourages all voters to verify their assigned Election Day polling location before heading to the polls. For added convenience, voters can visit the Voter Information page and enter their information to access their personalized voter record. For voters affected by these temporary changes, their updated Election Day polling location will automatically appear in their voter information, ensuring they have the most current and accurate location. This is particularly important because Election Day voters must cast their ballots at their assigned precinct.
Polls will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters who are in line by 7 p.m. will be permitted to vote.
For voters seeking additional flexibility, Early Voting remains available through Sunday, November 1, at 28 locations throughout Miami-Dade County. Early Voting sites are open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and eligible voters may cast their ballots at any of these locations, regardless of their assigned Election Day precinct.
"Our office remains committed to keeping voters informed every step of the way," added Garcia. "Whether you choose to vote early or on Election Day, we want your experience to be as smooth and efficient as possible. An informed and prepared electorate is essential to the success of our democracy."
