Guaranteed Ride Home Program

To be eligible commuters must carpool, vanpool, ride transit, bicycle, or walk to work or school at least three days a week. Additionally, you must live in Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St Lucie or Indian River County.

• Illness of the commuter or a member of his/her immediate family
• Unscheduled overtime or extended work hours
• A carpool/vanpool driver’s inability to make the scheduled trip home due to an unexpected work schedule or illness
• Regular transit service is unavailable or inaccessible

Commuters must be registered with South Florida Commuter Services for at least 24 hours before becoming eligible to request a Guaranteed Ride Home.

Transit riders can get up to six free taxi rides a year by registering with the Guaranteed Ride Home Program (GRH). This service is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
