As a volunteer or intern, you will interact with people, learn new skills and share your knowledge about the environment. You can volunteer at any of our six nature center locations. Community service or service learning hours are available.

Natural area maintenance Monthly workdays in greenspaces. Tasks include invasive plant removal, debris collection and hauling, and more.
Camp/Environmental Programming Enhance our seasonal camp and educational programming by assisting in planning and implementing activities.
Group/Corporate Volunteers Looking for a fun and impactful activity for your office, club, or group? These projects are perfect for team-building, while making a difference in your community. Student Volunteers If you would like to complete hours required for classes or service clubs, we have several opportunities for you and/or your group. Projects depend on the time of year and weather. Nature Center Volunteer Welcome visitors and provide information and guided tours or assist with programs. Training is provided.
Special Events Volunteer Attend select community events to promote the work of Miami EcoAdventures, interact with attendees, distribute publications and promote the importance and benefits of volunteering.
Volunteer Workdays For a one-time experience, participate in EcoAction Days, monthly volunteer event. Help protect and restore natural areas at our nature centers and elsewhere in Miami-Dade County. Join our naturalists in restoring the park and its natural areas with projects that include weed or invasive exotic vegetation removal, planting, mulching and garbage clean up.
Nature Center and Adventure Internship Care for our living collections of fish, reptiles and small mammals. You will assist with adventure programs, teach nature center environmental educational programs for audiences of all ages and provide interpretive tours, school programs and more!
Environmental Education Internship An incredible environmental education opportunity! Gain experience as a Naturalist and provide exciting, engaging, and educational lessons for preschool through 12th grade students.
Sales and Business Internship Assist in administrative operations of EcoAdventures. Work with staff and customers to specifically tailor programs and ensure that their needs are met.
