Transfer Water Service
If you are moving from one property to another within the Water and Sewer Department's service area, sign in to your account to transfer service at least one day in advance to prevent any service disruptions. The account must be in good standing and without any outstanding balances, liens and violations to transfer service.
Transfers take place the next business day between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m.
Customers may keep two active water accounts for up to 30 days as part of the transition to the new property. Only the account holder can authorize the transfer. The account number stays the same.
Note: Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department account information is considered a public record. However, Florida Statutes 119.071 provides for an exemption for specified individuals regarding the public information from being disclosed.
