On-site or Outreach
Despite being less than 3% of water on Earth, freshwater is essential for nearly all life. Learn its importance in our nearby ecosystems, such as the Everglades and our canal systems. Through games and discussion, participants will gain species identification skills of local fish, and begin to understand the importance of clean and accessible freshwater for all living things.
- Duration of program: Onsite Program 2 hours; Outreach program 1 hours
- Program Fee: $7 per participant or a flat rate of $150 for groups of 21 or less
- Maximum: 60 participants onsite programs; 40 participants Outreach programs
Requirements
At least one adult chaperone for every fifteen participants (1:15). There is no charge for teachers or the required number of chaperones. Adults over the required number of chaperones will be charged the program fee.
Individuals with Special Needs
Park staff will make every effort to meet your group's program needs. Please inform the park staff of any special needs or considerations when making a reservation for your program. When possible, please give field trip site 36-hour notice of any special requirements so that field trip sites can make appropriate arrangements to meet your needs.
