Scales and Tails

Learn about some common native and non-native reptiles in south Florida. These unique ectotherms (meaning ''cold blooded'') are often misunderstood, but are resilient animals that play a big role in the local ecosystem. After a discussion and interacting with live animals, participate in a scavenger hunt and nature walk to find and identify reptiles in the park.

Scales and Tails is for students in grade levels kindergarten through eighth grade.
