Child's Car Seat Checks and Installation

Certified car seat technicians at the Miami-Dade Police Department are available for free child's car seat checks and installations. This free service, provided by the Public Information & Education Bureau's Community Education Unit, are conducted on Wednesdays by appointment only at Miami-Dade Police Department Headquarters.

Technicians are also available for demonstrations at schools, daycares, hospitals and community events. Call to schedule a demonstration.

A limited number of free car seats are available for distribution to qualifying low-income Miami-Dade County residents. No infant car seats available.
