Child's Car Seat Checks and Installation

Community Education Specialists at the Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) Community Affairs Bureau can provide free child's car seat checks and installations. This service is conducted by appointment only on Wednesdays:

A limited number of free car seats are available for distribution to qualifying low-income Miami-Dade County residents. No infant car seats are available.

Call 305-471-1716 to schedule an appointment or a demonstration. Business hours are from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Technicians are also available for demonstrations at schools, day cares, hospitals and community events.
